Q. How will the Weekend Plus and Marketplace products be different?

Q. What do I do if I did not receive my Marketplace or Weekend Plus delivery?
A.
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Customer Service will take care of all customer service issues. They can be reached at 414-224-2222, 1-800-759-6397, by email at custserv@journalsentinel.com or online at www.jsonline.com/services. As in the past we will maintain a redelivery team that will deliver Weekend Plus and/or Marketplace to any customer who calls about a missed delivery.

Q. On what day will delivery take place?
A.
All deliveries will be made over a two-day period, Friday and Saturday, each week.

Q. How will the product be delivered?
A.
A dedicated carrier force will deliver the Weekend Plus and Marketplace papers each Friday and Saturday. The papers will be placed in a plastic bag to protect them from the elements. The bag is made from recycled plastic so we are doing our best to be environmentally sensitive and eliminate materials from the waste stream.

Q. When will the conversion to dedicated carrier delivery take place?
A.
We are converting delivery in three distinct phases. The first phase will be converted on April 17 and 18. Then approximately 8-12 weeks later we will convert phase two and then another 8-12 weeks after phase two we will convert phase three. The final conversion will be completed sometime between September 1 and October 30.

Q. Where will the delivery to each house be made?
A.
Most deliveries will be made to the front porch of the delivery address. A smaller number will be delivered near the delivery address mailbox, most often to a temporary, unobtrusive removable "hook" that will be installed on the mailbox post where possible. The plastic bag containing the product will then be hung from this hook in this instance. Some apartment and Condominium buildings that are locked will still receive delivery through the US Mail.

Q. How will the Weekend Plus and Marketplace products be different?
A.
As a part of the change to our delivery method we are also making several changes to the Marketplace product that customers will enjoy. We are adding a weekly pet adoption feature that will provide information about pets that are available for adoption from the various Humane Society locations in the greater Milwaukee area. We are adding a weekly puzzle and also a column called "Ask the Expert" wherein readers can ask questions on just about any subject and we will track down qualified experts to provide the answers.
